VALREC Project Launched at MOGENSEN Spain Offices

Last Wednesday, April 20th, we had the pleasure of welcoming the VALREC consortium members to our offices in Getafe. The nine collaborating companies, as well as the representatives of the Community of Madrid, attended the meeting to review the initial progress of this innovative circular economy project aimed at promoting the eco-efficient manufacture of new construction products.

The meeting was followed by a tour of the test plant facilities, where we have installed two MOGENSEN screeners and two GSort densimetric tables, with live demonstrations of solids processing.

The VALREC project aims to develop advanced and economically sustainable solutions for the management of construction and demolition waste. The goal is to overcome the main current challenges, both technological and market, in order to achieve greater efficiency with a focus on the circular economy within the construction and demolition industry.

The main solutions that the project will implement are focused on

· A selective collection and correct tracking of the resulting qualities through the use of digitization tools.

· Implementing innovative technologies to achieve optimal quality and purity of recycled materials.

· Incorporating up to 95% by weight of raw materials in the manufacture of new construction products.

· Testing eco-design solutions and implementing new digital technologies to extract as much information as possible along the value chain.

· Analysis of the technical, commercial and environmental results for the approach of new business models derived from the project.
